Our Approach

Every business has a next level. It looks different for everyone.

Some businesses need to make sense of where they stand. Others know exactly where they want to go and need the horsepower to get there. Most need a bit of both. We meet you wherever you are on that path.

First —
Clarity
We start by making sense of your business — the numbers, the operations, the bottlenecks. Before you can move forward with confidence, you need a clear, honest picture of where things actually stand. That's the foundation everything else is built on.
→
Then —
Potential
With clarity in place, we help you unlock what's next — stronger financials, sharper operations, smarter use of technology, and a clear path toward your goals. Whether that's growth, a transition, or an eventual exit, we help you get there.
Where We Help

The moments that move a business forward.

Growing companies tend to hit the same walls. These are the situations where the right guidance makes the biggest difference.

01
When the numbers don't tell a clear story
You're growing, but you can't quite see what's driving profit, what's draining it, or where the business actually stands. We bring that picture into focus.
02
When things start breaking as you scale
Processes that worked at one size buckle at the next. We rebuild the operational foundation so growth strengthens the business instead of straining it.
03
When AI feels like noise, not opportunity
Everyone's talking about it; few know where to start. We help you separate hype from real value and put AI to work where it actually pays off.
04
When an exit is on the horizon
Whether it's one year out or five, the best outcomes are built in advance. We get your financials, operations, and story ready for buyers or investors.

Why RMK Advisory

Senior judgment, sized for your business.

Three things that separate genuine partnership from advice that ends up in a drawer.

i.
Experience that's actually been there
The guidance comes from someone who has held the executive seat — running finance and operations through growth, transitions, and high-stakes moments. Not frameworks applied from the outside, but judgment earned from the inside.
ii.
Built for businesses your size
We work with small and mid-sized companies, and everything we recommend is calibrated for your scale, your budget, and your team. No enterprise playbooks forced onto a business they were never designed for.
iii.
Senior leadership, lean footprint
You get executive-caliber guidance without the cost of a full-time hire or the bloat of a large firm. We use AI throughout our own work, so more of your investment goes to senior thinking and less to busywork.
How We Work

Engagements that fit how you operate.

Three ways to work together — structured around your situation, not a rigid model.

RMK Advisory is built on nearly 30 years of finance and executive experience — the kind earned in the seat, not studied from the outside. Across a career spanning finance and operations leadership, Richard has built the full corporate infrastructure growing companies run on — finance, HR, IT, legal, facilities, and back-office operations — served as COO and Acting CFO, and guided organizations through the high-stakes transitions that decide a business's trajectory.

That experience runs deep: leading enterprise system and process transformations, negotiating and building out new facilities, and establishing the banking and insurance relationships that growing businesses depend on. It's hands-on work across building the foundation, scaling it, and steering it through change.

A Lancaster, PA native, Richard spent the heart of his career in Connecticut and New York City before returning home — bringing big-arena experience back to the businesses of South Central Pennsylvania and beyond. RMK Advisory is the result: senior-level guidance, grounded in having actually done the work, made accessible to the businesses that need it most.
